Another book you should have if interested in buying an Alfa.
OK for a person who knows next to nothing about vehicles. Lacks detail and depth.
The Giulia Spider was introduced in 1962 and ran to 1966. The successor car is more commonly known as the Duetto Spider (although it could be referred to as a Giulia Spider). In spite of the title of this book, it does not even cover the true Giulia Spider, but instead starts in 1966 with the Duetto. No mention at all of the 1962 car!
A buyer's guide has to be compact and full of information...you can't carry around or refer to a 300 page tome when your are car buying. I am often asked for advice on buying Alfas, and when it comes to Spiders, it's great to be able to refer to this comprehensive book. There are bigger books on the subject but they are not aimed at those who want to buy...or sell. This one is.Ed McDonough
